We've known them for about eight years, but haven't seen them in the last year or so.
They taught us how to play dominoes eight years ago, and we always have a game when we get together.
Teddy is legally blind, but he is an amazing domino player. After a couple of rounds, he seems to know exactly which dominoes everyone else is holding.
We had grilled salmon, tilapia, and chicken, as well as grilled veggies and potatoes. Enough food that we needed to use two grills. (That big gas grill in the middle is used only as a place to put dishes and grill utensils - someone gave it to us, and we've never hooked it up.)
Also, this must have been the most beautiful weekend so far this fall, as far as weather goes.
Our guests brought us a bottle of Stone's Original Green Ginger Wine. I am enjoying a chilly, sweet, gingery glass of it right now, and hoping we see our friends again soon.
